X-Wing: Michiana Marauders

This event will use the XWA points.  Essentially it will be extended with no ban list.  But you still gotta pay for the nasty stuff you bring.  More details on squad building after the Q and A and points release on September 1st.

The play space in the store is huge.  We have 4x6 tables that we put single games on and always have plenty of room for whatever else is going on in the store.  Slice and Dice Game Cafe is exactly that - a games store and cafe.  The food is good, generous, and fairy priced.   Staff and service are great.

We will do 3 or 4 rounds of Swiss as needed.  If we are blessed enough to have more than 1 undefeated player after 4 rounds, we will do a cut to top 2.  

Swag:  We use a raffle system.  You get 2 tickets per game, +1 for the winner.  If you get stuck with a bye, you also get that spare because byes suck.  Put your tickets in the stuff you want to win.  I have a ton of alt arts, including a lot of great plastic cards.  There will be more, and this will get edited once we know exactly what that is.

One of the things that will get raffled off is the right to choose the rule set we use in October.  Past winners have chosen things like inverted initiative and aces high.  So if you have a fun format you dreamed up or played that one time, toss in your tickets and see if you get to call the shots.  

Post event:  We have a tradition of playing Aces High after the main event.  Expect that to be available.  There will also be a possibility of playing Car Wars.
